As commented by an attendee,

I have found it incredibly helpful. I only wish at the start of my mother’s dementia journey I had been given some of this advice.

You can read a summary of the webinar in the downloadable flash report

Law for Dementia Carers (L4DC) Covid-19 Report
Impact of the Coronavirus Act 2020 and legal issues on Carers of People with Dementia

Law 4 Dementia Carers (L4DC) is a partnership project between the Life Story Network/tide and Making Space, funded by The Legal Education Foundation whose aim is to raise awareness and knowledge of the legal rights of carers of people with dementia. Everyone’s life has been affected by the pandemic, for carers, this has been devastating.

The Coronavirus Act 2020 contains ‘emergency powers’ to enable public bodies to respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. The L4DC project has been collecting evidence on how carers legal rights have been affected since the introduction of the Act to inform its 6 months review.

In September, a Summary Report was produced including 7 recommendations

The full Report is now available and can be found here

L4DC wishes to thank everyone, especially the carers who have contributed to this report. Without their feedback, this Report would not have been possible.
