Free Flu Vaccine - find out if you are eligible
Those who are in receipt of a carer’s allowance, or who are the main carer of an older or disabled person whose welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill are entitled to a free flu vaccine.
- Flu can easily spread (even if you are not showing symptoms) to those around you who are vulnerable and for whom you have caring responsibilities. The free flu vaccine is the very best protection for those who are most at risk from it.
- Flu can be serious and can be easily spread to those who are more vulnerable. If you are in receipt of a carer’s allowance or are the main carer of an older or disable person you are eligible for the free flu vaccination.
- Ask your GP or pharmacist if you’re eligible for a free flu vaccination.
- Help protect the NHS. Flu can develop into a serious illness that requires hospitalisation and add to the pressure on the NHS and social care when they may also be dealing with cases of COVID-19.
