We're Hiring! Regional Carer Involvement Lead (Scotland)

Are you passionate about carers of people with dementia having their voices heard – we are! An exciting opportunity has arisen and tide are looking for a dynamic Regional Carer Involvement Lead covering the Central Belt and the West of Scotland areas joining our team to help us continue strengthening and increasing the impact of tide in Scotland. The Role   Working closely with a wide range of partners at local community level, you will have a key role in identifying and recruiting carers and former carers to tide; ensuring that their development needs are identified and met through our unique Carer Development Programme as well as creating and supporting opportunities for carers to influence and create change   Our work ethos and values appeal to people, who are passionate, values driven, self-directed and flexible team players, who have great interpersonal skills, learn quickly, and relish the opportunity to deliver real social change for people who are caring for or have cared for someone living with dementia.   Location:  Home based in the first instance but the role is based within our Glasgow Office in Robertson House and we expect to return to office working as soon as it is safe to do so   Salary: £25,000 - £28,500 D.O.E (pro rata)   Hours: 28 hours – 4 days (days are flexible)   Duration: Fixed Term until February 2021 (option to extend in line with funding)   Benefits: 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata), flexible working, pension, Medicash option, staff development and training. Closing date:  Friday 10th July at midnight   Shortlisting: Week beginning 20th July 2020   Interview: Week beginning 27th July 2020   About You   As Regional Carer Involvement Lead, you will:
  • Have experience of caring and or understanding of dementia and the emotional and practical challenges families experience
  • Be adept at developing and maintaining successful partnerships and building strong external relationships.
  • Have a ‘hands on’, ‘can do’ attitude to raising the awareness and impact of tide.
  • Knowledge of how the health, social care and voluntary sectors work in Scotland
